OFDR Demodulation System Based on Adaptive Gaussian Fitting for Ultra-Weak Fiber Bragg Gratings
Abstract
To address the challenges of complex demodulation algorithms and limited real-time performance in Ultra-Weak Fiber Bragg Grating OFDR systems, this study developed an OFDR demodulation system based on adaptive Gaussian fitting. The system incorporates a Power Spectral Density threshold for accurate identification and localization and a 3σ criterion to dynamically trim grating intervals. The approach significantly reduces computational resource demands and enhances demodulation speed. The system achieved 1.95 million gratings/second with wavelength accuracy better than 5pm, while reducing on-chip logic units by 51.2% and block memory by 73.2%.
