A Modular Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) Demodulation System Based on UW-FBG

Abstract

Aiming at the application scenarios of low power consumption and high sensitivity and the requirements of massive data processing, a modular distributed optical fiber acoustic sensing technology (DAS) demodulation system based on UW-FBG is proposed. Zynq embedded circuit with high integration is used for system control and grating time-domain positioning, and 3×3 arctangent phase demodulation. The system achieves less than 20W power consumption, background noise of 2.16pε/√Hz (5Hz-1280Hz), and linearity of 0.9993. The output data volume is approximately 2.6% of traditional DAS systems.

Specifications

  • Power: <20 W
  • Noise Floor: 2.16 pε/√Hz
  • Linearity: 0.9993
  • Data Volume: ~2.6% of traditional DAS
  • Dimensions: 250×180×45 mm
